Gifts, games and encouragement as Frema Foundation visits orphans

Through her charitable organisation, The Frema Foundation, Ms Osei-Opare donated a wide range of essential items to the home, including foodstuffs, toiletries, children’s clothing, school supplies, wax prints for caregivers, and Bibles

Former Ghanaian Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, marked Easter Monday with a heartfelt visit to the Assurance of Hope for the Needy orphanage in Teshie, Accra — reaffirming her long-standing commitment to the wellbeing of underprivileged children.

Through her charitable organisation, The Frema Foundation, Ms Osei-Opare donated a wide range of essential items to the home, including foodstuffs, toiletries, children’s clothing, school supplies, wax prints for caregivers, and Bibles. This marks her fourth personal visit to the orphanage and continues a tradition that has become a staple of her Foundation’s outreach during Easter.

The former Chief of Staff, who has pledged to serve as a life patron of the home, said the Foundation was dedicated to ensuring consistent support for vulnerable children. She praised the efforts of the caregivers for their devotion and tireless work.

The atmosphere at the orphanage was one of joy and celebration. Children were treated to a festive meal and a series of fun activities, including games, singing, dancing, face painting, and balloon twisting. The day ended with prayers and expressions of gratitude from the children and staff.

The Frema Foundation has over the years intensified its focus on social intervention programmes, with particular emphasis on children’s welfare, education, and the empowerment of women and caregivers.
