Alajo: Two children found dead in broken-down vehicle

The bodies of the children have been conveyed to the Police Hospital Morgue for preservation and autopsy after examination of the scene by crime scene experts

Police have begun investigations into the circumstances leading to the death of two children at a mechanic shop at Alajo in the Greater Accra Region.

A statement issued by the police on Sunday (17 October) said the bodies of the children were found on Friday 15 October in the back of the passenger seat of a broken down Mercedez Benz saloon car that was parked at the shop.

It says the bodies of the children have been conveyed to the Police Hospital Morgue for preservation and autopsy after examination of the scene by crime scene experts.

The police have therefore asked automobile mechanics to close their shops to control access to unauthorised persons including children.
