Ghanaian officer cadet Thelma Gbewonyo has been awarded the distinguished Sandhurst Medal by Major General Nick Cowley, following her successful completion of the commissioning course at the world-renowned Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the United Kingdom.
The Sandhurst Medal is a prestigious honour presented to international cadets who complete the rigorous and highly respected officer training programme at the academy.
The medal recognises outstanding discipline, leadership, and commitment throughout the course.

Thelma Gbewonyo’s achievement marks a proud moment for Ghana, as she joins a select group of international officers who have met the high standards required by one of the most elite military training institutions in the world.
