The sixth Ghana-France Higher Education and Research Conference 2024 has commenced in Accra and Kumasi,
The conference aims to enhance educational ties between the two countries and facilitate higher education opportunities for Ghanaians wishing to study abroad.
Organised by the French Embassy in Ghana and Campus France, the event featured a delegation of 12 French higher education establishments providing information to interested students from 5 to 8 February.
Opening the conference at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) on Monday (5 February), French ambassador to Ghana, Jules-Armand Aniambossou, emphasised the importance of fostering synergy between the two nations through quality education, given their longstanding bilateral relations.
He highlighted the high quality of Ghanaian and French institutions and stressed the significance of continuous exchange and collaboration in an evolving world.
Deputy head of Campus France, Béatrice Khaiat, outlined the agency’s initiatives for Ghanaian students aspiring to study in France, citing the country’s status as the sixth most popular destination for international students, with a significant number coming from Africa.
She expressed the agency’s commitment to welcoming more Ghanaian students and fostering cooperation and exchange programmes with Ghanaian higher education institutions.
