Legon Cities beat Great Olympics 2-0 in a chaotic game on Monday to move out of relegation and end Great Olympics six game unbeaten home run

Legon Cities beat Great Olympics 2-0 in a chaotic game on Monday in match week 13 of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League to go out of the relegation zone.

There were three red cards and six yellow cards in the game, Great Olympics were reduced to nine men and Legon cities finished the game with ten men.

Kwabena Boateng opened the scoring 7 minutes into the second half before Joseph Mireku added the second toward the end of the game.

The result ends Great Olympics’ six-game unbeaten run at home and it’s Legon cities’ first win on the road in the league this season. It takes the Royals from 17th on the league log to 13th with 15 points from 13 games played.

Great Olympics’ next fixture is a trip to Berekum Chelsea on Sunday while Legon Cities host Real Tamale United.
