In a bold show of economic diplomacy, the Office of the Chief of Staff welcomed a high-powered Chinese investor delegation participating in the ongoing Ghana–China Business Summit 2025, organised in collaboration with the Sino-Africa Group.
Representing H.E. John Dramani Mahama, Chief of Staff Julius Debrah urged Chinese manufacturers to harness Ghana’s strategic location, stable governance, and transformative 24-Hour Economy Agenda to anchor Africa’s next industrial hub.

The delegation, led by Chen Xiaowei, described Ghana as “the China of Africa in the making,” calling for deeper institutional backing to accelerate investor confidence and industrial collaboration.
This landmark engagement signals a new chapter in Ghana–China relations, rooted in partnership, mutual growth, and a shared vision for African industrialisation. It also underscores the Mahama administration’s commitment to reenergizing foreign investment and trade through strategic diplomacy, anchored on economic transformation and job creation.
The Ghana–China Business Summit 2025 continues throughout the week with high-level business-to-business sessions, public-private dialogues, and the signing of several memoranda of understanding (MoUs) aimed at boosting cooperation in infrastructure development, renewable energy, and agro-processing.
