Founder and Presiding Bishop of Victory Bible Church International, Bishop Nii Apiakai Tackie-Yarboi, has expressed profound gratitude to God and all who contributed to the church’s 40-year journey, describing the milestone as a testament to divine faithfulness, resilience, and human cooperation with God.
Speaking on the Asaase Breakfast Show on Friday (31 October), Bishop Tackie-Yarboi said the 40-year mark reminds him that “God is faithful to every vision,” noting that what started as a small prayer group has grown beyond his imagination into a global ministry touching lives worldwide.
“If anybody told me Victory Bible Church would grow to become this big, I’d have been the first to doubt,” he said. “But we are cooperating with God, and with Him all things are possible. The limitation is from us, not from God.”
He recounted the challenges the church faced—from acquiring land and managing resources to earning the trust of followers—but said perseverance and credibility were essential.
“When you say ‘God said,’ people will always read through you. You must be credible. Because people monitor you,” Bishop Tackie-Yarboi emphasized. “Leadership demands consistency, integrity, and focus, even when challenges come.”
Reflecting on the journey, he said problems were part of the process:
“As the problems came, we solved them—and by solving them, we kept moving. Suddenly, 40 years have come.”
Bishop Tackie-Yarboi thanked members, donors, and all who contributed—physically, financially, and spiritually—to building the church.
“There are all kinds of people who helped in various ways. I’m full of gratitude to everyone God used to make Victory Bible Church what it is today.”
The church will mark its 40th anniversary with a special conference at Independence Square, Accra, themed around transformation, legacy, and faithfulness.
