Fire ravages Suame Magazine: 25 shops, 34 vehicles burnt – GNFS Report
Investigations are currently underway to determine the cause of the fire as officials work to establish its origin and possible triggers.

The Ghana National Fire Service has been providing a detailed account following the devastating fire outbreak at Suame Magazine Zone 21 on Friday (31 January).
The service says at least 25 shops and 34 vehicles were destroyed in the blaze, which affected businesses specializing in battery servicing, welding, spraying, lubrication services, lathe machine operations, and other related activities.
The fire consumed 17 saloon cars, 9 mini-buses, 8 heavy trucks, and a pickup before firefighters managed to bring it under control.
The GNFS said in a statement that the Mamponteng Fire Station responded swiftly, arriving at the scene just 16 minutes after receiving the distress call at 23:07 hours. With reinforcement from four additional fire pumps, firefighters battled the inferno, containing it by 01:27 hours and fully extinguishing it at 04:00 hours Saturday.
28 shops and 72 out of 106 vehicles were salvaged, preventing further destruction. Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities were recorded, the statement added.
Investigations are currently underway to determine the cause of the fire as officials work to establish its origin and possible triggers.
