A fatal head-on collision has claimed four lives during a fatal accident when a Toyota RAV4 and a Toyota Hiace mini-bus collided head-on near Anum-Asikuma along the Ho-Accra Road on Saturday (1 February 2025).

The tragic incident claimed the lives of both drivers and two passengers.

Authorities have identified the Toyota Hiace driver as Justice Adjei, popularly known as Bob Marley. However, they have yet to identify the other deceased victims.

The accident severely injured eleven passengers, and emergency responders rushed them to the Peki Government Hospital for treatment. They also transported the deceased bodies to the hospital for preservation.

Eyewitness told the media that the accident occurred in the morning of Saturday (1 February 2025) when the Toyota RAV4, with registration number GW 3328-S, attempted to overtake another vehicle while traveling from Accra.

Due to the speed, it runed into the oncoming mini-bus, which was heading from Ho to Koforidua. The severity of the incident damaged the two vehicles beyond recognition.

Meanwhile, the Ghana police has commended their investigation to identify the rest of the victims.

Residents along the Ho-Accra Road are urging the road safety authority to regulate drivers’ speed and reduce accidents.
