The child of a tenant at Adankwame in the Ashanti Region has allegedly been butchered to death by a landlord’s son after a brawl with the child’s father.
Reports indicate that the suspect only identified as Emmanuel killed the toddler after he had an altercation with the child’s father, Obed Asamoah, who is a tenant in their house.
According to eyewitnesses, the suspect also struck the child’s sister, who had entered the scene to check on her father and young brother, who were left helpless on the ground.
The injured persons were taken to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital where the boy was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The police in the Ashanti Region have commenced investigations into the case.
