EOCO reshuffle: Raymond Archer takes charge after Dapilah’s exit
Abdulai Bashiru Dapilah has been reassigned to the National Security Secretariat as a technical advisor while Archer takes over the top job at EOCO

Raymond Archer, a former investigative journalist and intelligence specialist, has been appointed as the acting chief executive director of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), following the reassignment of Abdulai Bashiru Dapilah to the National Security Secretariat as a technical advisor.
Archer, who has over 15 years of experience in national security, intelligence and risk consulting, brings a wealth of expertise in anti-corruption and organised crime investigations.
His leadership at EOCO is expected to strengthen its investigative capacity.
He has led the Opponent’s Research Group (ORG) since 2019, specialising in uncovering financial misconduct, and was involved in drafting the Economic and Organised Crime Act 2010 (Act 804).
With extensive experience internationally, Archer has provided consultancy services to firms such as KPMG, Kroll & Associates and Risk Analysis UK.
He also owns cybersecurity firms with partnerships in Israel and specialises in defence intelligence.
Archer holds postgraduate degrees in security and intelligence and is currently pursuing studies in artificial intelligence at the University of Texas.
