The incident happened at the Ultimate hostel at Bomso in Kumasi. He is a Level 200 Industrial Arts student, reports state-owned Daily Graphic

A second year student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) fell from the fourth floor of a private hostel and died on Friday, multiple sources have confirmed.

The incident happened at the Ultimate hostel at Bomso in Kumasi. He is a Level 200 Industrial Arts student, reports state-owned Daily Graphic.

The sad incident happened when he made an attempt to move from a balcony to the next on Friday.

It took the benevolence of a commercial vehicle driver to get him to the KNUST Hospital after several drivers refused to come to his aid, reports Starr News.

According to the KNUST management, the student died instantly after falling down.

The university spokesperson Norris Bekoe said the family of the deceased has been informed about the incident.

“The family delegation are expected to be on campus to meet management so we can take them to the unfortunate scene,” Bekoe told GHOne TV.

Meanwhile, two students who were in the room with the deceased have been picked up by the police to assist investigation.
