Flagbearer hopeful Kennedy Ohene Agyapong says he will never concede defeat in any presidential election until the Electoral Commission (EC) officially declares the results.
Speaking to NPP delegates in the Savannah Region, Agyapong said conceding before the EC’s announcement would be premature and irresponsible.
“Until the last constituency is counted… I will never accept defeat,” he declared, drawing applause from supporters.
Bold leadership
He called on delegates to choose “bold men” to lead the NPP into the 2028 general election, warning against candidates who focus on personal attacks rather than job creation and party unity.
“No one has contributed more to the party in terms of finances and body and soul.”
The NPP race
The NPP’s balloting for the flagbearer race placed Agyapong first on the ballot, followed by Bryan Acheampong, Mahamudu Bawumia, Yaw Osei Adutwum, and Kwabena Agyei Agyepong.
The Presidential Elections Committee assured delegates of a transparent process ahead of the 31 January 2026 primary.
