Black Queens defender, Evelyn Badu, has grabbed two prestigious awards for her sterling performance for Avaldsnes IL Women in the Norwegian League.
Evelyn,21 joined Avaldsnes IL in 2022 and has had a significant impact, earning her the 2023 Players’ Player award and Best Player of the Season voted by fans.
The Ghanaian defender started 24 games out of her 25 appearances for the club, scoring 2 goals and providing one assist in the season as they finished 9th on the league table.
Evelyn Badu expressed her gratitude for the honors, on social media stating, “Being recognized for my hard work and dedication means the world to me.”
“This motivates me to work even harder towards achieving my goals.”
It adds up her trophy collection after winning the CAF Young Player of the Year and Inter-Club Player of the Year awards at the 2022 CAF Awards after helping Hasaacas Ladies reach the CAF Women’s Champions League final in 2021.
