Ejisu by-election: Police invite Kwadaso MP, two EC officials over alleged electoral offence

The police said it is working with the Electoral Commission (EC) to investigate the alleged bribery during the Ejisu by-election

The Ghana Police Service has commenced investigation into the alleged electoral offence involving some temporary officers of the Electoral Commission (EC) and a Member of Parliament during the by-election in Ejisu in the Ashanti Region.

In a statement on Friday (3 May), the police said, “The persons involved, George Sasu, Regina Serwaa and Dr Kingsley Nyarko have subsequently been invited by the police to assist the investigation and their statements duly taken.”

“Police is working together with the Electoral Commission as the investigation continues,” the statement added.
