Education consultancy to offer 100 scholarships to Ghanaians

Training provider launches charitable scheme under Excellence Awards to assist gifted students and bridge gaps in Ghana’s education system

Ghana News Agency (Accra) – Caroline Esinam Adzogble, an education consultant, is to launch a scholarship scheme to enable students in second and tertiary institutions to further their study abroad and contribute to national development.

The scheme, to be administered under Ghana’s Excellence Awards, will recognise 100 brilliant but needy African students and assist them to advance the frontiers of education. The hope is that the scheme will help bridge gaps in the country’s education system.

Adzogble, who is also chief executive officer of the Caroline Group, an education and recruitment-centred conglomerate, said the group had established its physical presence across the globe. Speaking at a press briefing in Accra, she said the group includes International University Services in London, United Kingdom, Potters International College in Accra and Caroline University in Nairobi, Kenya.

This scholarship scheme, she explained, is in line with the group’s strategic plan to diversify its operations and to redefine education across the world.

Rethink the strategy

Even though the outbreak of the novel coronavirus disease had stalled education globally, there was a need for stakeholders to explore other avenues for spreading learning, such as online platforms. Adzogble said this would help maximise the gains in the teaching and learning industry.

“Our work in education continues and the pandemic has boosted our efforts to rethink our strategies and simplify our operational efforts to meet the needs of all our stakeholder communities.

“With our continued growth and expansion, we are making use of a Global Employable Human workforce of 20%, with 80% of our operations taken care of by our complex data management and technological tools,” she said.

Adzogble said the group would continue to celebrate its key milestones of the past year. These include completing 30 major tours across Africa, adding 50 new institution partners to the group’s extensive portfolio, and securing 185 unconditional offers for students.

People are unable to identify opportunities in the education sector but the Caroline Group is prepared to educate and empower students to make good use of such opportunities, Adzogble said.

The motive is to ensure that every student enrols in school, making use of the knowledge that education is key to the socio-economic development of every country.

She said in line with its corporate social responsibility, the group will donate 1,000 sanitary pads and food items in July to female inmates of the Nsawam Maximum-Security Prison. It will also pay fines for innocent women being held on remand in the prison.
