The University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) is set to host a Practitioner’s Forum and Seminar Series on the theme “Leading Servanthood in a Postmodern Era”.
The seminar, scheduled for Thursday (27 March), will be facilitated by Dr. Palgrave Boakye-Danquah, a lecturer at the Department of Business Administration at UPSA.
The forum aims to explore the principles of servant leadership in today’s complex and evolving world. It is expected to bring together academics, business leaders, and students to engage in thought-provoking discussions on leadership and its impact on organizational and societal transformation.
Dr. Boakye-Danquah, a well-respected thought leader, will delve into critical aspects of servant leadership, drawing from both academic research and practical experience. His expertise in organizational behavior and leadership development makes him an ideal speaker for this event.

About Dr. Palgrave Boakye-Danquah
Dr. Palgrave Boakye-Danquah is a distinguished Ghanaian scholar and practitioner with an extensive background in governance, security, academia, youth mentorship, and Christian ministry. He has played significant roles in both the public and private sectors, making notable contributions in leadership and policy development.
He previously served as the Government Spokesperson on Governance and Security for Ghana, where he advised the Minister for Information, prepared cabinet briefs, and engaged stakeholders on national security and governance matters. His ability to articulate complex issues earned him recognition as a key figure in bridging the gap between policymakers and the public.
Academic Excellence
Dr. Boakye-Danquah holds a Doctorate in Business Leadership from IPAG Business School in France, where his research focused on servant leadership and organizational citizenship behavior among public sector workers in Ghana, with a moderating role of task interdependence. He also earned an Executive Master’s in Conflict, Peace, and Security from the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre, where he explored the impact of climate change on security.
His academic pursuits also include a Bachelor of Theology from Trinity Theological Seminary, studies in sociology and psychology at the University of Ghana, and training in Christian apologetics at Oxford University. His extensive education reflects a deep commitment to understanding leadership, human behavior, and governance.
Contributions to Youth Development
Beyond academia and governance, Dr. Boakye-Danquah is deeply involved in youth development. As the founding Executive Director of the Kandifo Institute, a think tank focused on public policy and leadership, he has mentored thousands of young Ghanaians. He has also played key roles in initiatives like the Duke of Edinburgh International Award Scheme in Ghana, impacting over a million young people through leadership training.
Christian Ministry and Public Engagement
An ordained minister under Bishop Dag Heward-Mills, Dr. Boakye-Danquah has been an itinerant missionary since 1998, working with organizations like J-Life Africa and the Global Youth Ministry Initiative. He has trained over 3,000 churches and engaged communities in 78 countries, blending his theological insights with practical outreach.
Political and Personal Life
Dr. Boakye-Danquah is also an active member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and was a parliamentary aspirant for Abuakwa North in 2024. While his bid was unsuccessful, he remains a significant political figure, advocating for governance reforms and youth empowerment.
He is married to Seyram Yaa Mansa Boakye-Danquah, and they have five children.
