Disgruntled youth demand resignation of Divine Healer’s Church board
The Greater Accra Regional Youth Coordinator, Joseph Mensah, explained to Asaase News that the current leadership has been in place for over 20 years, which violates the church's constitution

A group of young members of the Divine Healer’s Church in the Greater Accra Region is demanding the resignation of the current Church Board, led by General Overseer Apostle Isaac Kwabena Adade, to facilitate new elections.
The Greater Accra Regional Youth Coordinator, Joseph Mensah, explained to Asaase News that the current leadership has been in place for over 20 years, which violates the church’s constitution.
“The board led by Apostle Isaac Kwabena Adade has overstayed its tenure,” he said. “They are supposed to step down to allow elections for new members to take over the church’s affairs.”
Mensah noted that elections were scheduled for October 2024, but the current leadership appears unwilling to step down or form an election committee.
As a result, the disgruntled youth plan to hold a series of demonstrations against the church on Sunday, 27 April 2025, in Accra, citing concerns that the church’s structures and constitution are not functioning effectively.
The demonstrations are expected to begin at Bukom Arena and proceed to the Divine Healer’s Church headquarters in Accra.
