Disgruntled NPP members file injunction against Kwadaso constituency elections

The plaintiffs want the court to stop the party from conducting elections to elect polling station and constituency executives

Some disgruntled members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Kwadaso constituency of the Ashanti Region are praying the high court to restrain the party from holding election in the constituency.

Their lawyers filed the application Wednesday to stop the party from conducting elections to elect polling station and constituency executives.

The application is set for hearing on Monday 4 April 2022.

The plaintiffs, Abu Mahama and Kofi Abrefa filed a writ in court challenging how the election of polling station executives was conducted by the Gifty-Ohene Konadu-led committee.

They further claimed that no election was held therefore preventing qualified members from voting for their preferred candidates in all 196 polling stations in the constituency.
