Diana Asamoah urges FDA to sanction pastors selling unapproved sobolo in churches

“Some pastors market sobolo as ‘blood’ despite the FDA not having tested it for safety. I am appealing to the FDA to carry out thorough inspections in churches to ensure these items are safe for consumption,” she said.

Diana Asamoah emphasised that pastors who intend to sell food or beverages to their members should involve qualified health professionals to conduct medical screenings. She stated that such measures would help protect congregants from potential health complications linked to consuming these products.

“Before selling sobolo or similar items, pastors should have medical doctors test their members’ health to confirm the product’s suitability. There have been cases of people developing illnesses like diabetes after consuming such products,” she noted.

In addition to her call for regulatory oversight, the Diana Asamoah also condemned immoral behavior among some religious leaders, warning that inappropriate relationships with congregants could have damaging spiritual and moral repercussions.
