Culture Management Group (CMG) has unveiled the headliners and programming for Culture Beach Jam 2024, promising an unforgettable showcase of African music, culture, and creativity.
Set against the stunning backdrop of the Polo Beach Club in Accra, Ghana, the two-day event will run from 28-29 December 2024, transforming the coastal venue into a vibrant hub of artistic expression.
The festival’s star-studded lineup features musical heavyweights including Omah Lay, King Promise, DJ Tunez, KiDi, Shallipopi, Joey B, Sabrina, Olive the Boy, and Ara the Jay.
These artists will deliver electrifying performances that embody the rich diversity of African music.
Adding to the excitement, the winner of AfroFuture’s Rising Star Challenge will take the stage, offering festival-goers a front-row seat to the continent’s next generation of talent.
But Culture Beach Jam 2024 is more than just a music festival. It’s a celebration of the African diaspora and a platform for cultural and social impact.
CMG has partnered with Afreximbank, Berry Health, and Verna Water, as well as programming partners Black Health Connect and Distant Relatives, to curate experiences that resonate deeply with audiences.
Ahead of the main event, CMG will host a series of initiatives to engage communities and support African creatives:
The Continent Live Music Programme (15-21 December): This week-long camp brings together the top five finalists from the AfroFuture Rising Star Challenge, established artists, and industry experts to foster collaboration.
Highlights include a three-day songwriting camp, media training, and a Music Day hosted with the British Council.
Workshops will delve into crucial topics like contracting, management, and finance, while a music showcase will cap off the programme.
Annual Community Health Fair (27 December, 10 AM–2 PM, Zurak Park, Madina): In collaboration with Black Health Connect and Distant Relatives, CMG will offer free health services, from screenings to mental health consultations, to an estimated 1,500 community members.
The event will also provide meals through the AfroFuture Feed initiative.
BAL Celebrity Basketball Game (27 December, 1 PM, Bukom Boxing Arena): The Basketball Africa League (BAL) and Hennessy team up with AfroFuture to host this celebrity-packed match featuring BAL players, artists, and entertainers, blending sports with star power for a dynamic experience.
The African Dream Focus Group (30 December): In partnership with Gensler, this initiative will bring together students, industry professionals, and government leaders to explore actionable strategies for achieving the “African Dream.”
“Launching our new concert series is an incredible milestone,” said Abdul Karim Abdullah, CEO and co-founder of AfroFuture.
“Each year we find new ways to showcase the beauty and diversity of African culture. There’s truly no time like Detty December—it’s an electric season that unites people from all walks of life to celebrate our music, our art, and our shared heritage.”
