Black Stars to engage Liberia in international friendly in September

Per Ghanasportspage, the Ghana Football Association has arranged a friendly match for the Black Stars against the Lone Stars

The senior national soccer team, the Black Stars are expected to take on Liberia in an international friendly game on September 12, 2023.

Ghana will return to action in September for the final round of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers as they seek to secure qualification to the tournament next year.

The West African powerhouse will face Central Africa Republic on September 7 at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

The four-time African champions will host Liberia at the Accra Sports Stadium five days after the AFCON qualifier against CAR.

As part of preparation for the 2026 World Cup qualifications and AFCON tournament in Ivory Coast, the Ghana FA has already secured two high profile friendlies for the national team.

The Black Stars are scheduled lock horns with Mexico on 14 October at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte before taking on USA on 17 October in America.
