Court throws out case against NPP’s Collins Amoah
This ruling not only exonerates Amoah but also exposes a deliberate attempt to tarnish his reputation for political gain

In a significant legal victory, the Accra Circuit Court 3, presided over by Her Honour Susana Eduful, today 19 February 2025 struck out the tax fraud case against Collins Amoah on grounds that no proper evidence was produced to support the charges.
Collins Amoah contested in the NPP parliamentary primaries at Ablekuma Central and came second to Jefferson Sackey with a 35 votes difference.
This ruling not only exonerates Amoah but also exposes a deliberate attempt to tarnish his reputation for political gain.
From the onset, the allegations against Collins Amoah reeked of political sabotage. A man’s reputation precedes him and Collins is earned a good one over the years through hard work, prudence and fidelity.
Anyone with discernment could have seen this was an orchestrated effort by adversaries to deploy mala fides (bad faith) litigation as a weapon of character assassination. In the realm of politics, where perception often overshadows truth, false accusations can inflict irreparable damage.
However, the principles of audi alteram partem (let the other side be heard) and nemo tenetur se ipsum accusare (no one is bound to incriminate himself) have prevailed in Amoah’s favor, reaffirming the sacrosanct legal doctrine that an accused person remains innocent until proven guilty.
Collins Amoah’s vindication is a victory not just for him, but for the rule of law. Indeed the truth, no matter how delayed, will always prevail over deception.
Hopefully this should put steel in the spine of Collins Amoah to continue to serve, impact more lives and accelerate his efforts to earn the blessings of the people of Ablekuma Central.
