Chereponi: Residents appeal to Akufo-Addo to complete agenda 111 hospital project
The residents say the move will ensure that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) can gain the trust of the electorates in the December elections

Residents of Chereponi in the North East Region have urged President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to complete the Agenda 111 hospital project
The residents say the move will ensure that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) can gain the trust of the electorates in the December elections.
The group’s spokesperson, Kwame Kojo Mahamud, has stated that patients at the Chereponi Polyclinic are lying on the floor due to a lack of beds and congestion.
“In fact, if you go to Chereponi Polyclinic … you get there and you see patients lying on the bare floor, all in the name of no beds in the hospital but we think that if this hospital is fully completed, I think that all these problems will be curtailed,” Mahamud said.
The assemblyman for the Chereponi East Electoral Area, Abass Yaw Ussif, said there is nothing to show that the project will be completed on the time scheduled.
“In fact, when you look at it, it started in 2021 [but] nothing has been done to show that the project is ongoing…” Abass Yaw said.
The residents say the hospital was scheduled to be completed in August this year but the two contractors, Orlin
Construction Ghana Limited and Savannah Empires Construction have both moved their equipment from the construction site and the work has since stalled. They are, therefore, appealing to the president to complete the project before the 2024 general elections.
