CCC marks evangelism month with donation to Asokwa Children’s Hospital

Leaders and members of the Calvary Charismatic Centre (CCC), a prominent church in Kumasi, donated essential consumables to the Asokwa Children’s Hospital on Saturday as part of their annual evangelism activities.

The items, which included toiletries, detergents, toothbrushes, soaps, and toothpaste, were handed over by the church’s elders and Resident Pastor, Joshua Obeng, who said the donation was intended to support children’s healthcare across the region.

“A society that does not keep an eye on the health of its infants and children will eventually lose its existence,” Pastor Obeng said, highlighting the hospital’s critical role in the community.

He added that the donation coincides with the church’s October “Massive Evangelism” initiative, which combines outreach with community support.

The hospital, which primarily treats children aged one to twelve years, relies on private funding for its operations.

Deputy Administrative Manager Benjamin Wiredu, who received the items, expressed gratitude for the church’s gesture, noting that the supplies would directly assist in patient care.

“We are a purely private hospital and retool, and cater for our cases entirely by ourselves,” Wiredu said, urging other organizations to support children’s healthcare initiatives.

The CCC delegation also toured the hospital, commending staff for maintaining clean and well-managed patient wards.
