Cape Coast: Boyfriend of murdered Cape Coast Tech University student remanded

Taylor is being held to assist in investigation after Nana Ama Clarke was found dead by the roadside without her genital at Ola, a suburb of Cape Coast last Friday night

Nicholas Ato Bronk Taylor, the boyfriend of the level 300 Cape Coast Technical University student, who was allegedly murdered over the weekend has been remanded into police custody after his first court appearance on Monday (16 May).

Taylor is being held to assist in investigation after Nana Ama Clarke was found dead by the roadside without her genital at Ola, a suburb of Cape Coast last Friday night.

The judge Bernice Ackom on Monday adjourned the case to 31 May 2022.

Locals are living in a state of shock and fear after the incident.

Speaking to Asaase News in separate interviews, some of the residents called on the government to fix streetlights to ward off criminals in the evenings.

“Our assemblyman has really been vocal recently and we’re appealing to the local assembly to support him with streetlights among others to make us safe. We’re living in a state of fear now,” a woman who lives in the area told Eric Asante of Asaase News in the Central Region.

The police have given assurance to the public that they will get to the bottom of the case and prosecute the culprits.
