Bawumia Youth For Development gives to Walewale Government Hospital

The donation comes after the youth group had received news that patients on admission at the facility always go out to buy basic essentials

The “Bawumia Youth For Development” group has donated drugs among other essentials to the Walewale Municipal Hospital to enhance quality health delivery.

The youth group whose main agenda is to support the Vice-President, Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in his political career did the donation on the sidelines of a cleanup exercise at the premises of the Walewale Government Hospital.

The donation comes after the youth group had received news that patients on admission at the facility always go out to buy basic essentials like cannulas, hand gloves, strings, plasters among others.

Speaking after the donation, the leader of the group Nuhu Yushaw admonished that they will do all they can to strengthen the relationship between the hospital and the residents.

“An idea came, we have to come here and then do some little cleaning and at least donate a few items to the hospital because several of us have been and sometimes when you come, you are asked to go and buy hand gloves, strings and then cannulas from town. So, we can’t wait for the government to sometimes help us, so we decided that let’s take the initiative to also donate some few items,” he said.

The facility is the foremost government hospital in the North East Region.

The management of the hospital led by the medical superintendent, Dr George Ansong was pleased with the kind gesture of the youth group.
