Medeama are currently 3rd in the group, with the same number of points as second-placed CR Belouzdad.

“Four out of nine points from three games is not convincing to me as a coach,” he said at the pre-match presser.

“On the other hand, Yanga two points behind me from three games, speaks of how Yanga is determined to win the game.

“I need to be conscious, I need to nap a strategy that will help Medeama to stay out of defeat.”

Medeama’s training session ahead of Wednesday’s game was delayed due to the unavailability of the match venue. Medeama SC arrived in Dar es Salam, Tanzania on Sunday.

Evans Adotey said it was frustrating but his side is unfazed by the situation ahead of the game.

“We were ready to move on to the pitch, then a local team came that the pitch belonged to them. No room for us to train.

“We were held hostage until after 45 minutes, we were told to go and come back at 10 pm.”

“It looked frustrating, I was intimidated. But all the same, we’ve got this off.

“I’m waiting for an opportunity to train somewhere. I’ll get my boys back on track tomorrow to maybe do our best.”
