Bawumia, Samira commiserate with family of bodyguard who died in road accident

Eight victims suffered varying degrees of injury in the accident in the Ashanti Region, which involved the convoy of the Second Lady

Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia and his wife, Samira, have commiserated with the family of the bodyguard who died in an accident involving the convoy of the Second Lady on Saturday (13 January).

A Janazah prayer was held for the departed bodyguard.

The bodyguard, Alhassan Fuseini, was a twin and a dedicated member of the 1996 year group of Accra Academy.

He had been a part of the domestic detail of Vice-President Bawumia since 2008, serving dutifully as a security officer.

The accident happened at Ohene-Nkwanta, near Nobewam, off the Kumasi-Accra highway.

Eight victims suffered varying degrees of injury and are receiving medical attention.
