West Mamprusi: Gender minister donates 2,750 mathematical sets to BECE candidates 

The minister, who doubles as the MP for Walewale, encouraged the candidates to give off their best in their first external examination

The MP for Walewale and Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Hajia Lariba Abudu Zuweira, has donated a total of 2,750 mathematical sets to 2,730 BECE candidates sitting in the external exams in her constituency this year.

The presentation was done on her behalf by the West Mamprusi MCE, Issahak Arimeyaw Basintale Somo Lucky at the Walewale Senior High Technical School on Monday (7 July).

It was handed over to the municipal directorate of the Ghana Education Service to further distribute to the candidates in the municipality.

The pupils expressed their gratitude to the lawmaker for the kind gesture and support.

“I am here today on behalf of the MP for Walewale, Hajia Lariba Zuweira Abudu to present to you 2,750 mathematical sets for all BECE candidates who are about to take their BECE exams today,” Lucky told the students.

“It is her hope that this will help them in getting the exams well written and come out with flying colours.”

The West Mamprusi municipal director of the Ghana Education Service, Adama Akanguti thanked the MP for the donation and urged the candidates to desist from examination malpractices.
