Volta Region: TESCON aggrieved over alleged rigging ahead of NPP polls

According to them, 10 names of TESCON executives from some accredited institutions in the region are missing in the register ahead of the NPP regional election

Some aggrieved TESCON executives in the Volta Region are calling on the national wing of the New Patriotic Party to as a matter of urgency address issues of disenfranchising them.

According to them, 10 names of TESCON executives from some accredited institutions in the region are missing in the register ahead of the regional election.

Speaking at a press conference on Friday ahead of the polls, a former TESCON regional coordinator, Samuel Atsu Azazu said: “TESCON has suffered under this leadership. As at yesterday night we have come across a list, this afternoon the list has been changed and their names have been replaced.”

“Those same individuals are in so much fear, they are being intimidated because they don’t know if they will be given the opportunity to represent their chapters. We have realised that as at today three lists have popped up.

“We have one list comprising 23 tertiary chapters, we have another list comprising 18 chapters, and the original one that they used for the conference. We are greatly aggrieved because the leadership under Makafui Kofi Wanya has done this party a great disservice,”Azazu said.
