Databank closes head office temporarily after staff tested positive for COVID-19
Databank says clients can access services from its 18 other branches across the Greater Accra Region during this period
Financial Institution, Databank is from today closing its head office temporarily for a week after a staff of the firm tested positive for COVID-19.
A statement issued and signed by Kojo Addae-Mensa, chief executive officer of the company said the closure is to help protect its clients and staff.
“Databank is announcing a temporary closure of its Head Office from Monday January 25 to Friday January 29, 2021. The office will reopen on Monday 1 February 2021,” the statement said.
The statement added, “The temporary closure is due to a staff member testing positive for COVID-19. In light of the growing number of cases in Ghana, we believe we need to take this extreme measure to protect both our staff and clients.
Databank, however, says clients of the financial institution can access services from its 18 other branches across the Greater Accra Region during this period.
“If you are in Accra, you can visit our co-locations within the following GTBank branches: Airport, East Legon, Lapaz, Madina, Osu, Opera Square” the statement added.
“We also encourage you to take advantage of our digital channels to continue to transact with Databank using *6100# or any of our other digital channels, which are listed on our website (www.databankgroup.com)”
The company has apologized for any inconvenience this may cause to its numerous clients.
