Wales manager Ryan Giggs has been charged with assaulting two women.
He is accused of causing actual bodily harm to a woman in her 30s and common assault of a woman in her 20s at an address in Salford on 1 November.
Giggs, of Worsley, is also charged with coercive or controlling behaviour between December 2017 and November 2020.
The former Manchester United player has been bailed to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on 28 April.
Meanwhile Ryan Giggs has finally sold his lavish Manchester mansion for £3million after slashing £500,000 off the price since it first went on the market two years ago.
The former Manchester United and Wales winger, 47 put the five-bedroom abode, which boasts a swimming pool and cinema room, up for £3.5million in 2019 – two years after splitting with ex-wife Stacey.
He had lived in the sprawling mansion with Stacey and his two children – Liberty, 18, and Zachary, 14, before their divorce in 2017.
More than two years since it hit the market in January 2019, Giggs has finally sold the Salford mansion after cutting £500,000 off the asking price of his former marital home.

The home, which had been advertised online, boasts a lavish swimming pool, state-of-the-art bar and decadent cinema room.
