Yipala: Over 800 residents benefit from free medical screening

The NGO of Naada Jinapor, the wife of the MP for Damongo Samuel Jinapor, organised health screening for the locals of Yipala in the West Gonja municipality

Over the years, the Naada Foundation, a non-profit organisation, has embarked on caring for and improving the health needs of the people, especially the vulnerable communities in the West Gonja Municipality.

This time around, the organisation’s medical outreach stop point was at Yipala in the West Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region to offer some free health care services to the community.

Over 800 residents of all age groups were screened for various health issues.

The exercise, which saw a massive turnout of residents in the area, was carried out by a group of medical professionals who screened residents for pediatric and skin conditions and other general health conditions.

The executive director and founder of Naada Foundation, who doubles as the wife of the MP for Damongo, Naada Jinapor, said that healthcare and access to healthcare are two of the issues that the government has been trying to tackle.

“Charity begins at home, so this charity is taking place in one of the areas in our constituency (Abu Jinapor’s constituency), Damongo. A healthy community will make a happy MP and will give us happy constituents,” Naada said.

She said she will continue to use her NGO to bring positive impact to the people.

At least 49 cases were referred to various health facilities and all costs will be taken care by the foundation.

Naada also used the occasion to call on the people to continue to support and preach the good works of her husband Samuel Abu Jinapor ahead of the 2024 general elections.

Fatima Issah, a beneficiary thanked Naada Foundation for reaching out to them.
