Black Queens are preparing for their 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) final first-leg qualifier against Namibia on Friday, December 2 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Nora Hauptile’s side is seeking a return to the competition for the first time since Ghana hosted the competition in 2018. They claimed an emphatic 12-0 aggregate win over Rwanda to extend their winning run to 8 games.
“As a player is my wish to qualify for the team, to the WAFCON and it’s been my first experience, I’ll help the team to qualify.” – Foward Doris Boaduwaa told the team’s media.
Jennifer Cudjoe is one of the experienced players in the squad and she is hoping to help the team reach the international stage again.
“It will be an amazing thing for us to be able to accomplish this goal and come back into the international stage especially WAFCON again.”
“It’s been a long time so I think it will be an incredible journey for us, and I also believe that we got everything we need to be able to qualify now.”
