Binduri: Police explain how 2 policemen were shot dead by suspected robbers and their private motorcycles taken away

Two policemen were shot dead on Sunday (13April 2025) by suspected armed robbers in Poyamirea near Binduri in the Upper East Region.
The deceased were said to be in mufti (plain clothes) and were on private motorbikes travelling from Bongo to Binduri when they were attacked, shot and killed, and their motorbikes taken away.
A statement issued by the Public Affairs Directorate of the Ghana Police Service said a manhunt operation was underway for the attackers.
The police expressed deep condolences to the bereaved families.
The statement assured the public that the perpetrators of this heinous crime would be arrested and made to face justice.
