BECE 2025: NPP’s Frederick Tettey donates Math sets to Anlo candidates

Tettey, on Monday (9 June) presented 250 sets of mathematical instruments, including rulers and pencils, to selected students preparing for the nationwide examination

A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Anlo Constituency, Frederick Tettey, has donated mathematical sets and stationery to support Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates in the Anloga District.

Tettey, on Monday (9 June) presented 250 sets of mathematical instruments, including rulers and pencils, to selected students preparing for the nationwide examination.

Speaking at the presentation, Tettey said the gesture formed part of a broader commitment to promoting access to education within his community.

He recalled his own challenges as a student at Anseco Basic School, noting how difficult it had been to acquire mathematical sets during his time.

“I know from personal experience how essential these tools are, and how hard it can be for some families to afford them,” he said.

He expressed hope that the donation would ease the burden on students and help improve their performance in the exams.

Over 600,000 candidates are sitting this year’s BECE.
