Earlier payment

The National Service Scheme (NSS) has paid its personnel the January outstanding allowances, an official statement issued on Wednesday (23 March) said.

The payment comes after some personnel lamented over the delay in the disbursement of their monthly allowance for January and February.

In a statement on Wednesday, the NSS gave assurance to all personnel that monthly allowances will now be paid on time.

“The management of the National Service Scheme (NSS) wishes to inform all national service personnel and the general public that allowances for the month of January 2022 have been paid as of Tuesday 22 March 2022.

“We sincerely regret the delay in the payment of the allowances and highly commend personnel for their continued commitment to duty,” the NSS statement said.

“Management of the scheme takes this opportunity to thank the national service personnel for their patience and cooperation and also to assure them that subsequent monthly allowances will be paid on time,” the statement added.
