Ghanaian rising star AratheJay has announced his withdrawal from this year’s Ghana Party in the Park UK festival, citing personal reasons.
The festival, scheduled for 12 July 2025 at Barnet Playing Fields in London, is one of the biggest annual Ghanaian cultural celebrations outside the country. This year’s edition is expected to attract thousands of music and culture enthusiasts from across Europe and beyond.
AratheJay had been listed among headline performers alongside King Promise, Kweku Smoke, DopeNation, MOLIY, Beeztrap KOTM, Cina Soul, and Fuse ODG.
Known for his strong lyrical prowess and dynamic live performances, AratheJay was set to showcase some of his latest songs, including the fan-favourite “Alhaji Popping.” His withdrawal has disappointed many fans who were eager to see him perform on the international stage.
Organisers, Akwaaba UK, have yet to officially announce a replacement or provide further details on the changes to the event’s performance schedule. Despite the development, they have assured ticket holders of an exciting lineup and vibrant cultural experience.
This year’s festival, which marks its 20th anniversary, is themed “20 Years of Reshaping Ghana’s Narrative: The Next Chapter.” Attendees can expect a colourful display of music, dance, fashion, food, gaming, and business showcases, all celebrating Ghanaian identity and creativity.
Tickets for the event remain available on gpitp.com, with activities expected to run from 12 noon to 8 pm.
AratheJay has not provided additional details on the reasons behind his withdrawal but has expressed appreciation to fans for their understanding and continued support.
