Yvonne Nelson appeals to Akufo-Addo to fix intermittent power cuts
Some power consumers have registered their displeasure about recent power outages across the country
Ghanaian movie producer and actress, Yvonne Nelson has appealed to President Akufo-Addo to immediately solve the recent intermittent power cuts in the country.
Some power consumers across the country recently registered their displeasure about power outages, describing them as a possible return to the era of power rationing also known as dumsor.
But the managing director of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), Samuel Mahama, said the power distributing company has had a maintenance challenge and that there is no dumsor.
However, Nelson wants the president to intervene in fixing the intermittent power cuts.
“Mr President, dumsor is dumsor whether it’s for an hour, 12 hours, 24 hours or every day. Fix it!” she tweeted on Tuesday (12 March).
Mr President, @NAkufoAddo DUM SOR is DUM SOR whether it’s for an hour, 12 hours, 24hrs or everyday. FIX IT!
