Ambulance driver shot by robbers dead

It is believed that the ambulance with registration number GV 644-20 bumped into a robbery operation on the Akuse-Somanya road

The driver with the National Ambulance Service in the Eastern Region who was shot by some suspected armed robbers is dead.

Abraham Tetteh died on Saturday (6 February 2021) at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra

Armed robbers on Thursday (4 February 2021 ) attacked and shot Abraham Tetteh, an ambulance driver who was conveying a pregnant woman to the Eastern Regional Hospital in Koforidua.

It is believed that the ambulance with registration Number GV 644-20 bumped into a robbery operation on the Akuase Somanya road while speeding but the robbers opened fire on the driver and shot him in the head.

He was conveying a pregnant woman in labour from the Akuase Government Hospital to the Eastern Regional Hospital in Koforidua.
