Akufo-Addo tours Savannah Region

It will be the president's first tour of the region in his second term and he is expected to inspect and commission projects

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the president will today 11 July begin a two-day tour of the Savannah Region.

It will be his first tour of the region in his second term.

Akufo-Addo is expected to arrive in Tamale Sunday morning and leave for Damongo in the Savannah Region for a radio interview before paying a courtesy call on the Yagbonwura at his palace.

The president will also inspect ongoing work on the Savannah Regional Coordinating Council complex and later depart for Buipe where he will pay a courtesy call on the Buipewura and also will commission the Buipe Accident and Emergency Hospital.

Before leaving for Salaga on Monday 12 July 2021, Akufo-Addo will pay a courtesy call on the Kpembewura.

After the courtesy call, he will depart for Salaga to inspect the Salaga water project and town roads and commissioning of Salaga Astro-Turf.

His last stop in the Savannah region will be at Bunjai where he will inspect the Bunjai-Fufulso road.

He is expected to extend his tour to the Upper West region.
