President Nana Akufo-Addo has named Samuel Abu Jinapor as the caretaker Minister of Trade and Industry following the resignation of Alan Kyerematen.
Abu Jinapor assumes this role on 16 January 2023.
Kyerematen, who has had his eye on the presidency, tendered his resignation letter on Thursday 5 January 2023.
He has served as Trade Minister since President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo came to power in 2017.
Jinapor, the current Minister of Lands and Natural Resources will take charge of the trade and industry ministry until a substantive minister is appointed.
