Akufo-Addo jabs Mahama: Stop lying to Ghanaians

President Nana Akufo-Addo has fired salvos at his main contender in the 7 December race, John Mahama, saying he keeps lying to Ghanaians

President Nana Akufo-Addo has called out former President, John Mahama, for lying to Ghanaians in his bid to return to power.

President Akufo-Addo charged at his main opponent in the 7 December polls on Tuesday, 24 November 2020 during an interaction with traders and residents at Kokompe and Kaneshie Markets in the Okaikwei South Constituency. He also visited Abeka Market in the Okaikwei Central Constituency and Anyaa Market in the Anyaa Sowutuom Constituency.

Akufo-Addo is currently on a two-day campaign tour of the Greater Accra Region.

“Elements in the NDC together with their flagbearer, who has had the opportunity to govern this country before, but failed the people of Ghana woefully, are out and about making promises on what they will do when they come back to power.

“Why are they failing to give an account of their stewardship when they were given the opportunity. This is not the time to deceive the people of Ghana. You did not do anything meaningful for the people of Ghana with your Presidency. Stop lying because Ghanaians will not tolerate them any longer,” Akufo-Addo said.

NBSSI Loans

On recent loans that government gave to traders and small businesses to support their recovery from the impact of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), on their means of livelihoods, President Akufo-Addo assured the traders, who are yet to benefit from government subvention that they will all receive the support they need early next year.

“With regard to the money we set aside to help small business owners… I wish to assure you that when the four more for Nana materialises, all those who are yet to receive will certainly receive theirs accordingly,” Akufo-Addo said.
