President Akufo-Addo has met with the Black Stars team in their hotel to motivate them ahead of Ghana’s opening game against Portugal at the FIFA World Cup.
Soccer fans are looking forward to today’s clash against Portugal, and the President is in Qatar in person to serve as a major source of motivation to the four-time African champions.
The President will be in attendance at Stadium 974 today (24 November) when the Black Stars of Ghana play Portugal in their first game.
President Akufo-Addo and his accompanying delegation were received upon arrival at Hamad International Airport by the Director of the Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, H E Ibrahim bin Yousif Fakhro and the Ambassador of Ghana to Qatar Mohamed H E Noureddine Ismail.
The Group H clash is expected to start at 4 pm (Ghana time). Uruguay and South Korea will face off in the other group clash at 1 pm.
