Singapore Enterprise boss: We’re ready to support Ghanaian SME’s venture into manufacturing

The regional group director for Sub-Saharan Africa of Singapore Enterprise Rahul Ghosh said this is critical, if Ghana really wants to take enormous advantage of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA)

Singapore is prepared to support small and medium enterprises (SME’s) in Ghana to venture into manufacturing with its expertise.

The regional group director for Sub-Saharan Africa of Singapore Enterprise Rahul Ghosh said this is critical if Ghana really wants to take enormous advantage of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

Speaking at a media briefing in Accra on Tuesday (20 June), Ghosh said Ghana stands to gain more from AfCFTA if its pays attention to the area of manufacturing.

“What we are trying to do in the manufacturing space is to try and bring more manufactures from Singapore to contribute to Ghana to bring foreign investment and create employment.”

“But what is not spoken about is again how Ghanaians companies many of whom are traders benefit from the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), the One District One Factory initiative,” Ghosh said.
