Age is just a number: Nigerian actress Kate Henshaw clocks 50
Kate Henshaw has been the toast of the internet on Monday as colleagues celebrate the woman and her film work on her 50th birthday
The ace Nigerian actress Kate Henshaw is 50 today. The excited actress took to Instagram to share some sensational videos and pictures to mark her golden jubilee celebrations.
In a post she shared on Instagram, Kate acknowledged God for bringing her as far as she has come, adding that she is “highly favoured”.

Kate, the eldest of four children, was born in Cross River State, Nigeria. She started her acting career in 1993 when she auditioned for the lead role in the movie When the Sun Sets. She landed the role; it was her first appearance in a major Nollywood movie.
From here, she worked her way slowly but surely to stardom, cementing her name among fans with her brilliant portrayals of individuals in character role after role. Her hard work was recognised in 2008 when she won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role in the film Stronger Than Pain.
Wishes
Some of Kate’s colleagues, including Uche Jumbo, Funke Akindele, Stella Damascus, have taken to social media to wish the veteran actress well.
Uche Jumbo called her an “institution”, saying she has loved her since her first day on a Nollywood set.
Funke Akindele said: “Happy 50th birthday to you, my darling sis! You have been there before us.”
