SONA 2024: Office of the Attorney General has saved Ghana GHC10 trillion in judgment debts, says Akufo-Addo

Delivering the State of the Nation Address (SONA 2024), President Akufo-Addo said the saving was achieved because the government decided to contest every single litigation against Ghana

In his State of the Nation Address (SONA 2024), President Akufo-Addo has announced that the Office of the Attorney General has saved the country roughly GHC10 trillion in judgment debts.

Ghana has achieved this, he said, because the government decided to contest every single litigation against the country.

Delivering the SONA in Parliament on Tuesday (27 February), the president declared: “The Attorney General has continued in a very effective manner.

“The tradition of this administration of contesting every single litigation against the state and has avoided the numerals judgement debts that used to be given against the state.

“The Office of the Attorney General, as a result, has saved the country over GH10 trillion,” he added.
