Advans Ghana expands operations, unveils 21st branch in Takoradi

Advans Ghana Savings and Loans has officially opened a new branch in Takoradi as part of its strategic efforts to bring reliable and accessible financial services closer to business communities in the Western Region.

Speaking at the inauguration, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Advans Ghana, Mr. Guillaume Valence, said the opening of the Takoradi branch is a demonstration of the company’s continued commitment to supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and promoting financial inclusion across the country. “We are here for the business community; traders, farmers, fishers, and service providers, because we believe in relationships and in understanding the needs of our clients,” Mr. Valence stated.

He noted that Advans Ghana currently serves more than 145,000 clients nationwide. The company employs over 700 staff and now operates 21 branches across major cities including Accra, Kumasi, Tamale, Techiman, and now Takoradi. Five additional branches are expected to open next year.

Since its establishment more than 17 years ago, Advans Ghana has disbursed over 250,000 loans valued at more than GH¢4 billion, including 13,000 loans worth GH¢745 million in 2025 alone. The company provides a range of financial services such as savings, deposits, and loans, complemented by digital solutions through its ‘My Advans App’ and ‘MobiBank’ platform, which enable clients to transact securely and conveniently from anywhere.

Mr. Valence further highlighted Advans Ghana’s commitment to ensuring the safety and confidentiality of clients’ funds and data as it operates under the supervision of the Bank of Ghana and holds ISO 27001 certification.

The Chief Sales and Distribution Officer, Mrs. Barbara Odei, attributed the institution’s success to its strong value proposition and relationship-driven approach. “At Advans, every client is unique and has specific needs. Our relationship management culture enables us to provide tailored financial solutions and serve customers at the point of their individuality. This is what sets us apart,” Mrs. Odei said.

She added that Advans Ghana remains committed to innovation and customer engagement. “We are constantly interacting with our clients, learning from them, and improving our products and services to better serve every market segment,” she stated.

The Branch Manager for Takoradi, Seth Ofori, expressed appreciation to management for their strategic foresight and reaffirmed the team’s commitment to upholding Advans Ghana’s values of integrity, reliability, and excellence. “The establishment of this branch shows our dedication to serving the vibrant Takoradi community and contributing to local economic growth. We pledge to deliver exceptional service and tailored financial solutions that promote business development and stability,” he said.

A client of the new branch, Madam Rita Nwolley, commended Advans Ghana for its responsive and customer-oriented service delivery and encouraged local traders to take advantage of the company’s financial support to grow their businesses.
