Asaase Broadcasting Company Ltd has announced the appointment of several new talented professionals to its team.
The chief executive officer, Nenyi George Andah, has expressed excitement about bringing in fresh perspectives, diverse experiences and unique talents to the Asaase family.
The whole of Team Asaase embraces the new members, said Andah, fostering a dynamic and inclusive work environment that values innovation, collaboration and growth.
The latest joiners include Dr Ofosu Agyekum, who brings over 25 years of experience in lead commercial roles with FMCGs, telecommunications and media brands such as Unilever Ghana Ltd, Guinness Ghana Breweries, Cadbury Ghana Ltd, Vodafone Ghana, Glo Mobile Ghana and The Multimedia Group Ltd.
He is experienced in developing markets, establishing marketing routes, developing solid relations with clients and building strong brand affinity for both tangible products and intangible services. Dr Ofosu Agyekum joins as Asaase’s head of commercial.
Sedem Ofori has approximately 20 years of experience in media and joins as the head of digital with added responsibility for managing the Asaase newsroom.
Sedem started as a reporter, analyst and bench presenter before being promoted to head of department and general manager roles, both in core media practice and corporate communication roles.
He has worked with prominent brands such as The Multimedia Group, Media General, EIB Network and Promoters Ghana Ltd, assuming lead roles in digital media strategy and marketing.
Sedem has also reported for the BBC and served as the executive secretary of the Chamber of Corporate Trustees of Ghana, as well as the director of corporate affairs for the National Youth Authority.
Kwasi Owusu Asare joins as the head of programmes. He has more than 20 years of experience in media, working in various leadership roles with prominent brands such as The Multimedia Group, Ghana Broadcasting Company Ltd, Graphic Communications Group Ltd, TV Africa and Kessben Media.
He has experience in programming, sales and corporate communication strategy, having served as chief executive, managing director and general manager. He has also consulted for many other media companies.
Also, Anass Seidu has come on board as lead producer (newsroom). He is a seasoned broadcast journalist with a decade of practice experience, largely with Citi FM/TV and Radio Progress.
He has proficiency in security reporting and analysis, matchless knowledge of the politics of Northern Ghana, current affairs programme production and community reporting.
These new joiners bring a wealth of experience to the company, and Asaase Broadcasting is excited to see the impact they will have on the business. With this expansion of the team, Asaase is well positioned to continue its growth and success in the media industry.
